Why You Need A Vision Board
A vision board is a collection of pictures, sayings, affirmations, and other items that symbolize the objectives and aspirations you wish to realize. It's a special illustration of what you hope to achieve in life. A potent strategy to rewire your subconscious mind is to have all of your objectives in front of you, organized according to a certain theme. describing the idealized version of your dream life to your subconscious.

Making a vision board is all about becoming who you want to be. When I am creating one I think of not just the goals I want to reach but the personal changes I want to make.
"Visualize yourself not as you are but as you can be."
When you allow yourself to focus on who you want to be you are creating sense of direction that you can follow rather than settling for who you are now. This is a powerful practice in manifesting.
I had heard of vision boards before but there were referred to as dream boards. I made one 12 years ago for my dream wedding. It wasn't a vision board then and I didn't understand the concept of them until recently. So how do you get started? Let's dive into it.
Self Reflect
Take a look at the life you have now. Take a deep look at everything from finances, your health, your relationships from the top all the way down to the details like your clothes. Ask yourself "am I where I want to be in each and every single one of these areas?" if the answer is no you just got something to put on your vision board. Remember we are creating a path to become a better version of ourselves. Ask yourself how you want to feel. Generally we all want to feel happy but think deeper than that. You have to think about how achieving your end goal will really make you feel.
Board Type
Do you prefer a physical board or a digital board? There are benefits to both. If you are creating a physical board you need to gather all your supplies i.e. something to hold your images like a poster board, glue of some sort to adhere your images, your images from magazines or printed and markers or stickers or whatever you want to add.
I personally make one digitally using Canva I like the digital version because I can keep it with me all the time. I have my vision board set as my desktop computer background AND my cell phone wallpaper. My vision board is with me working my subconscious all the time.
*Canva is an amazing design tool. Completely free to use but I have found all the really good stuff is in the pro account. It is 100% worth it. I use Canva for absolutely everything I make for home, homeschooling and business.
Let's Create
Decide on your vision board layout. Remember keep it simple, the last thing you want is to have a chaotic board and you bring chaos into your life. That is the opposite of what we are trying to do here. I like to use a template from Canva to get started. There are tons to choose from and I can make them my own.
Remember your board should be pleasing to look at, it should bring peace and be pleasing to look at. That is the point right? The key to vision boards is the images not so much the layout of them.
Examples
Stuck on how to layout or what images to use? Here are some examples of vision boards made on Canva. I will say none of these are mine. I personally feel like vision boards are personal and are made just for us so I won't share mine.
This one is more of a modern feel
This one is the type of style I like.
Now What
To help your vision board start to work for you you have to work with it. Sit with it daily, visualize each and everyone of your images coming true. Think about how you feel in with them coming true. Your goal is to become the person you want to be, you have to visualize yourself as the person doing those things and feeling those feelings. Every time you see it outside of these visualizations it will be a reminder to your subconscious of who you want to become.
So if you want to take the first step in becoming the person you have always wanted to become take the time to make yourself a vision board.
